RESEARCH
AIGRP sponsors collaborative research, focusing analytical expertise on policy-relevant issues in Indonesia. AIGRP funded research projects are available to explore via the thematic groupings on the right hand side of this webpage.
Each year AIGRP calls for research proposals addressing Indonesia’s major governance concerns. Over the three rounds to date (Pilot Round, Round 1 and Round 2) AIGRP has funded 25 research teams.

Policy Research Forum
An annual Policy Research Forum is the vehicle for presenting and debating all the research outputs from AIGRP over the preceding year. In 2008 the Policy Research Forum will be held in Jakarta in the first week of December. In order to maximise the policy impact of the research projects, senior officials from both Indonesian and Australian government are invited to attend the Policy Research Forum along with other key members of the policy community and media.
Bridging Research and Policy
AIGRP works with researchers to help them bridge the research to policy gap, by hosting forums, publishing policy briefs on research and disseminating research results to key target audiences. In October 2008, a Research Communications Workshop (Lokakarya Komunikasi Penelitian) was held with AIGRP funded researchers to share their expertise around engaging the policy community and media. The Workshop was held in partnership with the SMERU Research Institute and the Overseas Development Institute a world leader in bridging research and policy.
